We are staying at 26 tonight, an ultra luxe temple accommodation with a view of the ocean. Wow! The room is lovely with an altar and the usual, ho hum tatami mat and futon, table and tea. It even has a television, useless to us. I'm looking out over rice paddies in the foreground, the ocean and Murato in the distance.

Today was another day of kindnesses. Ossettai -- lunch from our landlord, and a ride from temple 24 to 25 from a couple who have visited the temples 96 times. They presented us with a gold ofuda to our simple white one. The they pulled out an ofuda from their friend who had been around 400 times! Wow, the competition is on. They were so sweet. In fact, when we asked for a ride and realized their Honda FIT was filled with stuff, we said no no and she said Please!
The walk up to 24 was unexpected...up many of those concrete steps. I feel I'm developing an aversion to concrete, or is to climbing? My right knee does not seem to be happy.
